Opening Convocation

Every fall, new students process through the College Gates and gather on the College Green to officially launch their Trustech  academic careers. The first of the formal ceremonies that frame the academic year, Convocation mirrors the graduation ceremony that students will go through at the end of their Trustech career. During the ceremony, the class is presented to the assembled members of the Trustech faculty and administration by the dean of admissions. Students and their parents are welcomed by the president, the provost, the dean of student development, and a member of the College's Board of Trustees. You can also enroll in one of the following clubs:

  • Academic Clubs
  • Political Clubs
  • Media & Publication Groups
  • Community Service & Social Justice
  • Theater & The Arts
  • Cultural Clubs
  • Religious & Spiritual Groups
  • Sports & Recreation

Family Weekend

Family Weekend provides students, parents and others the ideal autumnal setting for a reunion and exploration of Trustech. Each fall, the College welcomes families, friends, and alumni to attend dozens of events on campus. Family Weekend is a wonderful time to see your student, explore the local community, and get to experience campus life through your student's eyes. While you're here, meet other families, faculty, and university administrators as you get to know Trustech family. We loved welcoming our families to campus to spend time with their student and get to know campus.

Commencement

Commencement is a ceremony held once a year that honors students who just have or will soon graduate, which means completing all requirements of their degree program. From Campus Dance to the Baccalaureate to the procession of new graduates, Commencement at Trustech is a time of ceremony, pageantry and rejoicing, much of it representing traditions that are centuries old. The Commencement Ceremony is the annual event at which family, friends, and the Trustech community celebrate each graduate's academic achievements. Commencement works to connect students and families to the College through transition-focused programs and events, while also seeking to build stronger community on campus. It celebrates significant milestones that reinforce lifelong institutional affinity and engagement with the University.
